Visual representation of this truism came courtesy of Jessica Chastain, who arrived at this evening’s event having exchanged her signature burnished ginger for a freshly platinum mane—the color-sapped lengths something of a warmed-up nod to Lagerfeld’s toned silver.
The actor wore her blanched blonde in a down-the-back cascade, her polished, center-separated lengths tucked neatly behind her ears and giving way to soft curls as they reached toward her waist. The switch-up was afforded extra drama courtesy of a set of black sunglasses, which Chastain tilted and teased as if to compound the revelatory effect. Behind the shades, abundantly smoked lids lent to the luxuriant drama, the heavy-handed eyes balanced by a peach lip and porcelain complexion. The end result was chilly, said sunglasses teaming with Chastain’s new shade to create an atmosphere of cheeky aloofness—and the impact was immediate.
