Met Gala 2023: Celebrities, Red Carpet, Theme & More

Affectionately referred to as “fashion’s biggest night out,” the Met Gala 2023 is a fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The event welcomes stars, young creatives, and industry paragons. The 2023 Met Gala theme will be ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ to honor Karl Lagerfeld, who was a regular attendee at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute. The event will take place on May 1, 2023, which is the first Monday in May. During 2021 and 2022, the Costume Institute is hosted its first two-part exhibition, on the theme of American fashion. Part one, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” opened in the Anna Wintour Costume Center on September 18, 2021, and “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” opened on May 5, 2022 in the period rooms of the American Wing.
