“It was a revolving door of glam,” Sofia Richie tells Vogue of the scene on Saturday morning at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, where family and friends gathered in the South of France for her wedding to Elliot Grainge. After breakfast, a team of four hair and makeup artists welcomed her bridal party at their shared villa and went straight to work. At the same time, Richie sat down with makeup artist Pati Dubroff (“I always dreamed of her doing my makeup on my wedding day,” she says) and longtime hairstylist and friend Kathleen Riley.
“We prepped in a room adjacent to where her bridesmaids were getting ready, so there were lots of girls, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of love,” enthuses Dubroff, who kept things similarly light. “Sofia has such beautiful, glowy skin—I wanted to lean into enhancing that in the most polished, natural way.” Effortless elegance was what Richie envisioned for the beauty to play off of her custom Chanel couture dresses. “The makeup for the entire weekend was super-simple and clean,” Richie says. “I just wanted it to feel timeless: I don’t want to look back in like 20 years and be like, ‘She’s a glamazon.’”
